Do the callers hate Fez?

I'm listening to Tuesday June 2nds show and there is just call after call running down Fez, Now since Ive been listening to the show callers have always picked on Fez but there was usually humor involved not so at least today. I just don't get it

It certainly has been a strange turn, hasn't it? Fez was the most beloved member of the show years ago and he's slowly done a heel turn.

I remember posting quite awhile back that I didn't like the trend of interns and producers busting on Fez (which NEVER would have happened back in the day) and of course the callers picked right up on it.

I guess it's too late to turn back now.

I think there are a bunch of easy ways to to call the show and possibly make the air without having any originality.

1) Have an "ichiban" or a spy report.

2) Call up and throw out a reference that has been used on the show and shoehorn it into the discussion (e.g smokepants, the "are we having fun yet?" calleres (which replaced the "I've Got My Eye on You, Ron" callers), etc.)

3) Take a shot at Fez

All three are easy calls, and they all seem to get on the air.

i don't think Fez did the heel turn, the callers did (helped by bad screening, apparently). i sometimes wonder why some of these a$$holes even listen to the show!?!?

just as bad, it seems that a lot of callers don't even acknowledge Fez. it's like, "Hi, Ron. the reason i'm calling is..." WTF?!??!?!? Fezzie has his own posse, fer crying out loud!

I think this is partially true. Yes, one of the show's basic premises is Ron making fun of Fez. But it was always fun...until over the last few years. Ron now bags on Fez without it being fun sometimes. Add to that all these losers that think they are the next Bennington, and all of a sudden Fez is everyone's target. It's pretty pathetic, really. Having said that, with the exception of the shitty callers, the interplay between Ron and fez still works. But let's not act like our beloved Ronnie isn't in some small way responsible for this.

I love Ron, I love Fez, I love the show...people who complain about it are tools. Stop listening if you don't like it.
