Mr. Six was a very popular marketing icon for Six Flags. When Daniel Snyder took over, he dumped the campaign, only to realize that it was a bad idea.
Someone on Fark basically said the chapter 11 was because a couple of their creditors didn't want to reorganize their debt so Six Flags called their bluff.

I'm sure a lot of their debt has to do with the 13 year old girl who lost her feet on the Superman ride in KY.

Even if they paid out 50 million to her and her family, that's just a drop in the bucket. Although I'm wondering if they settled with her; if they didn't, Chapter 11 may screw them.

How the fuck can they be out of money...anytime ive ever gone there it has been packed to capacity. And it costs an outrageous amount to get in, plus season tickets, plus the food is insanely over priced, and they now charge you a dollar at every ride to put your back pack or purse or whatever you cant take on the ride with you in a little locker. I surprise there havent been riots in that hell hole the way they rob as you walk through the place.

There are six flags all over the country and I can say that the one is Saint Louis is almost always empty. I can drive by on a nice Saturday afternoon and not see any rides running.

Are you serious? The last time I went it was WAYYY too affordable. Bring your pepsi can in and it's free admission or some shit. Never again would I go.
