Eli - Don't hate me for this but I don't like Hartford. I spent the past couple days there and it was meh.

I pretty much don't like the city of Hartford either. I do like the suburb I live in, and it's a great place to raise a family.

Plus, we had a "LobsterFest" last saturday for adults only. About 3500 people eating lobster and getting really drunk It was a pretty fun time.

But if you are looking for an exciting place, Hartford is not it.

Reading Fast Food Nation really changed my life. I stopped eating fast food after that book, and I am much happier and healthier for it. I'm still a meat eater, but I try to limit my consumption of it. We eat way more protein than we need in the American diet anyway.

I told my wife's aunt the same thing about her son, who is a great baseball player for Amherst. She thought he shouldn't play football in high school at all, and just work at baseball all year round. I recommended that if he likes it, he keeps playing it. Seems to have worked for him.

yeah; One of my jobs I used to have to travel to a slaughterhouse in NJ. They used to cut the top half for Kosher, and the bottom went non-kosher; its all about getting some Rabbi to "watch". I would imagine that it might add even more to the cost, but there are some neighboorhoods in NYC/LI that would def pay for that.

Good luck with it anyway- and I'll just have to buy a few steaks for my friends then.
