Like to be on the board of trustees a fee of $500 a year entitled you to vote on certain board agendas/activities like approving from a list of sponsers to advertise on the board, have say on various policies and voting on mods and stuff and other stuff related to the site. Some of the money would go to pay a person or whoeever to maintain the site. Mods would be paid a small fee or an equivalent to free membership and accessing all the features. Money coming in if any would go to board sponsered events and the like (softball fee for field, etc) and a slight percetage of any profits.

A yealy membership of say $25 a year for the board.

And the ala carte fee would apply for things like:
a. having a sig pic ($5)
b. accessing the chat room ($5)
c. posting pics in "your" personal album on the board ($5)
d. on-line streaming of the show
e. and whatever else you could get money on

remember all the prices are hypothetical. But you sort of get the drift.

I'm an inactive member of a board that is pretty much "pay to post". It's all fine and dandy until a paying member is banned for whatever reason (temp ban or perm ban). People don't like to pay for things they can't access.

ETA: The only thing I think that was worth paying for was the fact that a lot of the members would post albums and such. I can't use any filesharing sites (Fuck you Cablevision and your capping of peoples service) so I used that feature greatly. But now I have a friend that will just skype me stuff.
