At the new Yankee Stadium they post the amount of calories in every food and beverage. When I went there it really made me change my eating habits.
Normally I'd just eat like a pretzel or a hot dog.
A pretzel was like 600 calories.
A cheesesteak was like 1200.
Fuck it I said for double pretzel I'm getting a cheesesteak.
It made something meant to help and up making me eat worse.
Then I guess the pulled pork sandwich and several beers didn't help things either.

I already know I eat like shit, I don't need it flaunted in my face.

i think it's great, as long as they're still leaving those choices up to you. heck a frappuchino has 600 but the lite version has 200? fuck yeah!

Hows the lite one taste? Something about that sounds great right now.

i can't tell the difference - i love them both. and you always know it's better, but when you see those numbers it's amazing.

I think it's a great idea. This way there is no way someone can claim they didn't know how many calories they were ingesting.

Warnings haven't stopped me from smoking and they probably won't stop me from eating crappy foods.

In a carryout kind of place, its ok. They have it at Wegmans for their deli and pre-made foods. It looks really trashy in a restaurant, though.

I dont mind it. Plus hopefully it'll stop fat people from blaming the places they eat at for the reason they are fat.

Sounds like neither the calories nor the cost of food at Yankee Stadium can stop lleeder from having a good time

You'd think it would help people...when I was at Yankee Stadium, I noticed that the Popcorn has 1500 calories per container...but there was still a line around the corner for it.

People don't care.

i believe it's only for chains of 5 or more restaurants, so classy joints would not be affected.

I like knowing how much calories the crap holes have, I would rather splurge on calories in nicer restaurants then in a Chilis or Fridays

It's great, I couldn't be happier with this change. Its about responsibility. No longer can people claim McDonalds made them fat, there's no gray area. You know when you put that cheeseburger to your lips exactly what your eating .. a whole lot of calories and not enough substance.
