Doing those things is totally out of Sam's character. Not everybody can enjoy the wild times that you have. Some of us are just smart ass suburban kids. And that makes it easy for us to relate to Sam.

I agree pretty much. I don't think his shtick is getting old as much as he doesnt know when to let a bit die. His 'literal' interpretation thing just goes on and on sometimes. I dont listen to O&A much anymore, but I did listen for an hour last week and it was him explaining how a much of wrestlers from the 80s are dead. Opie was trying to kill the bit and Sam just kept going on and on.

Sam's OK but at least at this stage of his career he can't pull off sitting first mic. He's good on O&A (his apple store visit kicked ass) but just isn't deep enough to have a show. I'm sure he'll develop and work into host material but not now.

and Sam & Dave gives him more creative freedom to work up new stuff. I think Sam and Dave have a lot of potential. I don't laugh really hard at anything he says or does, but I'm entertained most of the time he's on. And that seems to be the real goal for doing a daily show. Now I have to go because I'm rhyming things with "O".

I think Sam is bright and very funny, the Afro Warrior was hilarious, and I think he's a great contributer to O & A and I think they know that, BUT on Special Delivery,..does he actually want that show to succeed? He never takes a pause, he goes off on tangents, he rambles on and on and puts me to sleep, eventually 15 minutes in I just turn off the show. I called in twice on the live show and was holding for 15 minutes until he after 2 minutes goes off on another tangent, and never took anybody's call. It doesn't seem like he cares to make being on the radio a income earning career, cause without an audience, it's just you talking into a mike. It's his show, I don't have my own radio show, but I don't tune into Special Delivery anymore.

I like Sam and his smart ass/mocking remarks (that apple store bit two weeks ago was pretty damn funny (I liked the progression of exhausting all options in the correct order (except maybe Sam's buddy buying his own plan and canceling it within the 14 day grace period and give the phone to Anthony? dunno)). Sam also seems to have some responsibility staying on top of interns off air (which is probably a pretty entertaining street show juggling act).

Bottom line is Sam hits his target audience and brings them into the rest of the show. Think of a radio show as a hydra, each head has its own voice and the collective voice is the voice of the hydra/show.

I have enjoyed both shows recently so the last thing I am going to do is come on and complain..show some appreciation.

Look Sam Doesnt Have much of a life, but on the opie and anthony show he is the best person on there. he is so sarcastic and hilarous. i love sam and dave, but san doesnt show his best quailities there. Than and Sam was far superior

It really bothers me to actually have to look at the guy's face, like in Opie's youtube vids. And his lisp irritates my OCD sometimes...but the kid is a sarcastic douche and makes me laugh the majority of the time. Viva el Sam!!!:clap:
