There are a lot of things that can be done for premature ejaculation, which is defined as anytime you splooge sooner than you wish you had.
First there is the "controlled masturbation" technique. The person masturbates until he just feels the twinge of ejaculation. He stops jacking and presses his thumb down over the urethral opening until the urge goes away. If it doesn't and he splooges anyway, he just tries again next time. Eventually he will be able to control and prolong his jacking by using this start-stop technique.
The next phase is to have his partner now do the jacking, he has to signal his partner when to stop and apply pressure to the head as before. This is a harder technique...if he splooges, he owes his partner a big O by some other means.
The last phase is full contact intercourse, stopping and applying pressure whenever the need occurs. Over time this will result in a retraining of the orgasm circuit, and delayed ejaculation.
As you can imagine, this requires a committed partner who has a lot of patience and motivation. the plus to this technique is that it's a "cure" and doesn't require any artificial medications or creams
#2 desensitizing creams
they do make some creams and lotions that numb the skin of the penis resulting in delayed ejaculation. they can also cause numbing of the partner's genitals, too, so these aren't close to being perfect.
#3 prozac and its ilk
the newer antidepressants have a common side effect of delayed orgasm. they can be used as a last resort for PE, but at some risk of suicidal thinking and other adverse events. the other risk is a loss of sex drive, which kind of defeats the whole purpose.
hope this helps!
Let us know how your friend is doing!
your pal,
steve
