I think women tend to look forward when posed a question or offered a situation in regards to almost anything: relationships, food, money, etc. They'll think "How will this affect me or my life tomorrow?" Whereas a guy will think "How did this turn out last time?"

Women look forward, men look back.

This also explains why women can't parallel park.

call me the exception, I parallel park with a manual car even and make turns in under 3 steps.

I actually had a similar conversation with my mother just last week because she seems to get herself upset over how bad something possibly could get based on some past experience but also just plain over exaggeration and fear. I have been trying to explain her to not worry about tomorrow and enjoy today and the moment... cause it usually does not come nearly as bad as she fears if at all... and she wasted a perfect day or night sick with worry about the next day or week or month.
