View Full Version : The Ultimate Heel/Face Turn?
In the not so distant past Fez was the most beloved member of the show. He was the cuddly, lovable, yet acerbic buddy that everyone adored.
When Dave joined the staff, though, he was met mostly with contempt. The audience resented his mic time and in-your-face style and many felt he was destroying the Ron and Fez show as they had come to know and love it.
Now it seems the fans have done a complete 180 and the majority are in ESD's corner.
When did it start to turn?
What caused it?
Will it ever go back to the way it was?
ron said 'the fans are turning against you fez' and then you made a thread.

If Fez properly laid Dave out, he'd be a face again.
He had a perfect opportunity when Dave was doing his bit of making fun of Fez while Fez was doing the Ashley Madison live read, and all he could muster was something like "he is unbelievable."
This situation right now is like when you get a dog, and you don't establish that you're the dominant master, and you let the dog eat people food, and sleep in the bed, and sit up on the couch, and pretty soon the dog treats you you're another dog.
Fez needs to roll up a newspaper and smash that pasty white snout.
Why do think he doesn't needle Ron? Because Ron has conditioned Dave properly.

Fez was always vitriolic. It always amazed me that he got this "cute cuddly" label.
He would call listeners fat every chance he got. Ron always said Fez was happiest "putting the boots to someone."
He was so gleeful when he was calling Ozzy's teen daughter fat, over and over again.
I think though he has shed the gay persona of Fez, that the maybe more accurate angry Fez was hiding behind.
The quieter he got his nasty comments became more apparent, but they were always there.

I think his mostly negative outlook on life has alienated him.

He is slowly becomming the fat angry woman that he claims to hate.
I seriously hope his shrink has pointed it out to him.
And fez has been silent so long that most listeners don even remember how on he was in his prime

How is Fez a member of his own show? It's Ron & FEZ. Everybody else is an add on. Croutons in a tossed salad.
And GVAC's tossed a few salads.
And those weren't croutons.

Does being overweight make you cuddly?

I really have to believe it's a heel turn. A poorly-coordinated one. I submit the following:
1) No therapist is going to foster anger in their patient.
2) Since when does Fez listen to listeners for personal advice? In fact, I think he's stated that he wasn't going to do that. So whenever he uses the "the listeners keep saying..." line it's part of the act.
3) I can't believe that somebody with so many secrets is such a narcissist.
4) Fez has been associated with the O&A show over several decades but he expects us to believe that he doesn't know stereotypes equal funny.
Anyhow, I just had to vent so I can continue to like the guy.

100% Fact!
In the beginning I didnt like ESD but now have come to love him as part of the show. In any topic im intersted in that comes up on air I want Ron and Daves input. Fez either says something completely off the wall or turns it into a conversation about his problems/homosexuality.
