About 1 person in 100 will experience an orgasm-related headache in their lifetime. Some of these will have a headache EVERY TIME they have sexual activity.
There are two kinds of sex-related headaches: dull ones that start soft and crescendo as excitement increases, and sharp ones that have a sudden onset just before or after orgasm. I'd want to know which kind you have.
If it's the sudden kind, your doctor may want to order an MRI just to make sure you're not one of the 1 in 10,000 that actually have something to worry about. Most sex headaches are a pain (literally and figuratively) but are not dangerous.
I've never heard of a tumor causing sex-related migraines. If your provider can't find a cause, he or she can treat the headaches with medication if you want. Ha, one of them that Mayo Clinic recommends on their website (propranolol) causes impotence, so I guess that would be one way to treat it (dumbasses). There are other, more rational, choices out there, so feel free to get help if it's robbing you of your enjoyment of sex.
your pal,
steve
