They love to expose the fakery of other shows, but the caller is in no way a REAL one.
The whole thing ties itself up nicely, and O & A's reactions are too tidy.

I look at it like they see these comics coming in and being part of the commercial breaks, and Sirius not making money off the very appearances they are plugging on this radio station. Why waste 30 secs of airtime with shitty music and crude plugs when you can have some asshole selling doggie treats, nasally BNI homes, and etc getting ya cash up front.
It's all about immediate guaranteed money, not "getting out there and making comedy clubs and tv audiences aware" maybe money.

I think it absolutely sucks that they won't play plugs for the comedians anymore. However, if they were done correctly and not made to sound shitty and amateur by Steve C. and others, maybe they would go over better. A quick 15 second "Hey, I will be here on this date" would probably go over a lot better.
I know Sirius is looking at this as lost ad revenue, but that is bullshit. I would much rather hear a comedian plug his gig than hear about other horseshit programming on Sirius I care nothing about.
