Some great ones there - and I agree, the Alien trailer is an excellent example of what a trailer should be - but usually isn't.

Also, this shows that many times the trailer is better than the movie.

I remember seeing The Shining's trailer in the theater as a kid, and it scared the crap out of me. It's so simple, yet effective.

Dude!

The Minus Man was one of those wierd meta campaigns where you weren't sure what the movie was, or really if it was even a movie.

I remember that trailer.

Never saw the movie.

It's an ok movie, kindof strange. Much less of a mystery than you'd think from the campaign. It's basically a character study, but one of the characters is this killer who doesn't exactly know how to act like a person.

It's an ok movie, kindof strange. Much less of a mystery than you'd think from the campaign. It's basically a character study, but one of the characters is this killer who doesn't exactly know how to act like a person.

It used Owen Wilson effectively as a nice guy who killed some of the people he met sooner or later. He listens to people and if they show a willingness to die he helps them.
Very cold blooded. One of his first victims is Sheryl Crow.

By the way...love that mr sardonicus is onthe list. A fave of mine.
