I'm not really sure if anyone in here is interested in Puroresu, or in joshi, but I thought I'd post this, since it could have an bearing on the WWF.
Ayaka Hamada, daughter of the legendary Gran Hamada, has quit the Japanese joshi promotion ARSION, and wants to seek a job in the WWF. Here's a clip from puropower.com:
"Ayako Hamada went public today that she would try to get a job as a wrestler in the WWF. With the WWF running Yokohama Arena on 3/1, expect Hamada to show up backstage. Hamada doesn't totally understand what life in the WWF would truly be for her, so expect someone to try to get into her ear fast and smarten her up. Hamada said that she had some troubles with the Japanese culture and customs, as she is half-Mexican. Hamada's contract with ARSION (mainly with Samurai TV) ended on December 31st and with her father's advice (Gran Hamada), she didn't re-ink a deal with Hiroshi Ogawa & ARSION."
Personally, I'd love to see Ayaka wrestle here in the WWF, but God only knows how they'd mishandle her. There's literally NO ONE in their poor excuse for a woman's division who could go head to head with her (except for perhaps Ivory or Molly). But I guess we'll see.
If you want to know what she looks like, check out this link --->http://www.arsionworld.com/rost/ayako.htm for a bio, and click here --->http://www8.xdsl.ne.jp/~tmasu/ayako/ for a picture gallery.
