I don't know about the rest of you but fire scares the crap out of me. Many years ago, I was trapped in a fire on the third floor of an apartment house. Me and my partner tried to get out several times but the fire kept ahead of us.
To make a long story short, finally two firemen got us out out on ladder and down to the street with little damage.
I actually thought that I was going to die that night!
Anyone else?

I have a rare heart condition and sometimes it beats out of control. When I was a senior in HS it happened to me one afternoon and my heart rate went up to 350 beats/minute. I saw some weird shit during that, and I remember the EMT workers in the ambulance freaking out and the next thing i knew I was in the ER..but between the time in the ambulance and the ER I saw some weird shit...

A few months back, a bunch of us from the message board went to The Slaughtered Lamb down in the village. I met Reeshy. Terrifying!

A few years ago, I was leaving work, when a man approached me in the parkinglot. I was put on edge ofcourse. He was drunk and asked if i could call him a cab because he was too drunk to do it. I asked if he had anymoney to pay for it. This was where things took a bad turn. He took it the wrong way and pulled a .38 on me. he started to mumble about not being a loser and ofcourse he has money, and something about entering a world of pain. I invited him in to the resturant, gave him some coffe, and called the cops. After the cops took him away(he was violating parole by having a firearm), I started to shake.
surprisingly, I remember sleeping great that night.

There is nothing more exhilerating than pointing out the shortcomings of others, is there?

I was in junior high school. The crossing guard stopped traffic and I started to cross the three-lane road. A car came speeding up and wasn't going to stop. The crossing guard pulled me back just as the car screeched to a halt, about 6 inches away from me!

When I was in 9th grade, I was walking home at like 10 at night, and this pick-up truck came screetching around the corner, and I looked over at it. As it drove past me I heard one of the guys scream "Hey! What are you looking at?" The truck came to a screetching halt.
I started to walk towards the closest house, and pretend it was mine, but the guys in the truck jumped out, and no one was home so I ran behind the house and over some fences and hid in someone's garage that was being remodeled.
I heard one of the guys yell, "hey, he's over here!" I ran out of the garage and to the first house with lights on and banged on the door. The guy let me in and I was safe.
Sucks, doesn't it? I still wonder what those guys would have done to me if they had found me in that garage.

Oh, I thought of one other scary experience. I was at a party at my boy's apartment, when I lived in Richmond.
At about 1 am, this black guy my friend sold drugs to came in and said he had just gotten in a fight in front of the school's dorms and had to ditch his gun when the police showed up and now he needed a ride so he could go pick it up.
I drove him down there while he talked about how he was going to kill the guy he was in a fight with...anyway, I parked the car and he disapeared. Next thing I know, he comes running back around the corner with his gun out. I almost shit my pants.
But then he just hopped in the car and went back to my friends.
Blah.

My scarest experience happend like two years ago... i was driving on the nj parkway and was in the exit lane for a rest stop that led to my school. i was moving over as the lane beared left when this car passes me on my left.. Now for him to do this he was half on the road and half off.. he almost takes off my side mirror...i was like what the F**K.. and then speeding on my left again was a Trooper he passes me and then another trooper cuts me off on the right and i was force into the section of the road that looks like a triangle when the roads split.. i had to lock up my brakes before i smashed into the back of another car that was cut off as well... i was freaking out.. i then drove to my nearest friends apartment and downed a nice hard drink...... my hands were shaking for an hour...
HEAD.....trousers now!!!!!!!

Back when I was in school, I had an Earth Science class. We took a field trip to some state park type deal to go on a hike. Anyway, at a certain spot it was blocked off, me and the group I was in went anyway, found ourselves a couple hundred feet up above a rocky waterfall w/ some makeshift stairs cut out of rock for the way down. Walking down I lost my footing but just missed falling over the side (no railing or nothin). Literally inches away from dyin.

when i was 8 or 9 my friend fell thru the ice. I was the last man on the human chain to pull him out, because no one else would do it. He was thrashing about and he outweighed me by like 30 pounds. As they pulled us, our combinded weight would break the ice. It took 15 minutes to finally get to secure ice. Almost made boy's life for that.

Thanks mom for those inspiring words

When I went to pour milk into my cereal and their were maggots in the bowl instead.........then I woke up. That was pretty freaky.
True live experience was when the EPT test stick was in between a + and a - result. Truly horrifying.
