I never liked the Smoking Skull, it always seemed way too white-trashy to me.

That drawing is nice, but Im a big believer that the Heavyweight belt be yellow gold.

That being said, I liked John Cenas US title belt that spun. I thought it was cool, gave some interest to the title again, and fit his character perfectly. Then they ruined it by trying to do the same with the Heavyweight belt and it just looked gaudy and cheap.

Also the "Undisputed" WWE Championship they had before it became disputed again.

That belt was classy. Also there was an earlier variant with the WWF logo on the top in Red. Circa Honky Tonk Man era.

This was the belt that was just between the most familiar version of the title and the one Douglas, Sandman, and Raven used before Terry Funk became champion and wore this championship belt. It's got a mix of classic and new school which obviously is what they were going for at the time. It then evolved into this:

The ECW Tag Team Titles and Television Titles also had a bit of a cool evolution due to the fact that their likeness was originally similar to WWF belts until WWF had custom trademarked championship titles made.

I love all the classic WWE belts

I don't really care for the new ones.

Prob because the old ones bring me back to my childhood and how awesome they looked to me.

only thing i can think is that cena will always get the belt back eventually as long as he's alive so theres no sense in constantly changing the belt back and forth

Problem with that is, he doesnt have that gimmick anymore. Hes not a rapper. At least if he is he doesnt rap on tv. Now his gimmick is terrible stand up comedian. So he doesnt need a tacky, spinner blingy belt anymore.

I always thought it was cool that the Ultimate Warrior had a different color strap for his belts. What made him so special that he was able to have a yellow strap rather than a black strap? Was it him as an odd ball just wanting to be unique, or was it a Vince idea.
