Worker falls into chocolate vat, dies

A worker died this morning after falling into a vat of melting chocolate in Camden, officials said.

The accident occured at Lyon & Sons, Inc. plant at 701 North 36th Street.
Police say the man, in his late 20s or early 30s, fell into the vat about 10:30 a.m.
According to Marquese Ernest, a security guard who works at the front gate, the tank is a bulk chocolate melter, and workers stand at the top of it to throw in the chocolate.
The Camden County's Prosecutor's Office is investigating the death.
