For the sake of conversation, let's say Tarantino put out Inglorious Basterds in 1994, and is making Pulp Fiction now. The actors that were originally in it are too old for the roles, and he has to find actors to fill the spots.
I was thinking about this earlier, and can't come up with anything. It was a perfectly casted movie. I can't see a younger actor being as cool as Travolta was as Vince, and I can't think of anyone imposing enough to play Marcellus.
All I have is Marion Cotillard as Mia Wallace. She's sexy, and she's got that mysterious thing going on.

I don't care who he gets as long as Shia Labeouf is in it. He's dreamy.

The thing is, Travolta wasnt a young actor when he was in Pulp Fiction. So you dont need a kid to play his role.
And if youre going to give the Willis role to Mickey Rourke, you may as well just give it back to Willis.
Here are a few off the top of my head..
Butch - Mark Wahlberg
Lance - Jason Statham
Vincent Vega - Brad Pitt
Marcellus Wallace - Bob Sapp
Jules - Delroy Lindo
The Wolf - Dennis Farina

For whatever reason, I LOVE the thought of Jason Statham as Lance.

Don't you think there would be some kind of black hole created by casting possibly the two worst actresses in hollywood in the same movie?

Vincent has to be a kinda washed up actor that was big in the previous decade. A Christian Slater type might make it work today

If you read the original post, I don't mention that it's a remake.
It's a different timeline where Pulp Fiction doesn't exist, is going to be made, and needs a cast.
I agree that it should never be remade. Ever.
