I am fairly comfortable with the notion of death. In 2005 and 2006 I desperately wanted to die, just not by my own hand. I think also that my current sentiments I am comfortable with because I would not want to suffer thus making death easier to digest. If I was to suffer I think that fear would take grip.

For myself, I don't think anyone can say how they "face" it, until they actually have to, i.e. dealing with terminal illness or a life threatening event.

Until then we're all dealing with the idea of our deaths, and not with death itself.

I take comfort in the fact that we won't have functioning brains after it happens so you can't worry about it after it happens. Up to that point though, meh... Its going to happen, one day your body will not be able to keep up with cellular degradation, or convert enough energy, or something dumb like get hit by a bus. Then in your lifeless hunk of flesh craps its pants and you turn into worm food. End of story. I am not sure what there is to face. Would you be able to face it better if you knew the date of your demise in advance? I think that would just drive me nuts.
