It occurred to me while driving this weekend that there is a song on my iPod that I can never remember skipping past. Whenever it comes on I want to hear it no matter the time of day, the frame of mind I happen to be in, the season, etc. It seemed odd to me because I usually stick the iPod on random and there's different times I want to hear different songs and of course times I don't want to hear the same songs. But this song is always at the right time.

For me it's "I Stay Away" by Alice In Chains. I can't even say that about every other song by AIC, just this one.

I'm not going to link the YouTube video because we have lots of threads like that, just curious if anyone else has found a song you never skip on an MP3 player or turn off if it happens to come on the radio.

I've heard it at least 10,000 times and everyone will say it's another overplayed classic rock song (and they're right) but I'll NEVER turn off "Sweet Home Alabama" by Skynyrd.

I still fucking love it.

I honestly was going to say this song...no fair! I also like "Badfish" by Sublime....it's really never on the radio, but the CD is in my van's CD player at all times.

Good point. He was making a polite, passive suggestion.

I'll take my comment back.

I was just thinking of this the other day. I had to give my self a three-skip rule because of my ipod A.D.D. I can only hit next on three songs, I wouldn't say I never skip but I definately think twice about skipping Parting of the Sensory - Modest Mouse

Majority of my Hendrix tracks I can't skip wth the exception of Star Spangled Banner. And about half of my Bare Naked Ladies tracks and lot of the White Stripes tracks.
