im never cool enough...
heres what i found on big pink. its from a yelp review:
Big Pink, located in the Catskills/Overlook Mountain in West Saugerties New York. This is the house where Bob Dylan lived in 1967,with members of THE BAND,Dylan and The Band recorded The Basement Tapes in the Basment on a 2-Track recorder back in 1967
but the album wasn't released until 1975 as a double album by Columbia. The Band, consisting of members Rick Danko and Richard Manuel(both now deceased),Garth Hudson and Levon Helm would eventually live there and rent out the house. The Band recorded the legendary MUSIC RFROM BIG PINK(Capitol Records,1968) album here, and their follow up(The Band-self/titled album)also on Capitol,1969.in that same basement.Bob Dylan also recorded his John Wesley Harding and Nashville Skyline albums there. Also other well established artists such as Eric Clapton and George Harrison would frequent Big Pink around this time, and even write and rehearse songs there. The House is still standing and there is a Live in the Studio Fest held there every year. And around Woodstock and the rest of the Globe, you have Dylan and The Band fans frequenting this Historic home,it is one of those Major Tourist Attractions. If you happen to own Music From Big Pink on LP or CD(I have both)It tells the story of Big Pink(The Liner Notes Say:BIG PINK
A pink house seated in the sun of Overlook Mountain in West Saugerties New York, etc, etc.and shows a picture of The BIG PINK house, and also read the liner notes on the inside of the gatefold sleeve of Bob Dylan and The Band's Basement Tapes LP.

I think the genius thing the UFC is doing is that they aren't attempting to be mainstream. They know that they have a product a lot of people just aren't going to buy, but they do have a vast potential audience that will.
They're not making the mistake NASCAR did. They overestimated their sport's appeal to the mainstream, and changed it in ways that didn't really win that many new fans, and pissed off existing fans.
I must admit, it was a heel move but I thought the way Lesnar acted after the match was hilarious....
Muir is laying on the ground in a bloody mess and Lesnar is yelling at him, "Why don't you talk shit now?"

This kind of attitude is needed in the MMA. For christ's sake these guys are beating the living shit out of eachother and you want them to fucking hug after the fight? I mean i get sportsmanship but it shouldn't be considered rude not to adhere to these unspoken polite gestures.
The fist tap at the beginning is stupid too - sometimes a guy's style of fighting is to run at his opponent at the sound of the bell!

For me, it's this sarcastic, arrogant attitude she has with regard to everything she says. In the past, she has made ridiculous statements with this attitude and arrogance that doesn't match what she's saying.
For instance, the support she gave for having foreign policy experience was utter crap. Yet, the tone she gave while providing such statements was like "I can't believe you're even questioning me on this." And then she made those saracstic BS statements like how being a mayor was like being a community organizer, except having responsibilities.
It's a very similar attitude that W had as well, and it pissed me off there too as well.

Actually Ron, the "Reagan People" like Peggy Noonan (who worked for Reagan) seem to fucking hate Palin.
Ohhh did I miss a palin bashing? My GF and a few females I know love her and I cant stand her, they all call me sexist but I say my stance is just anti-dumbass.
IamFogHat
07-13-2009, 08:53 AM
I missed the beginning of this, why is Fez in a tizzy, Deadpool is Marvel, Green Lantern is DC? They wouldn't interact in the same universe.
Exactly what I'm talking about. Any regular newsreading person may read multiple sources, but certainly there is one they go by more than others. At least, she could have said that.
But even without that "all of them" is just so ridiculous it's unbelievable.
I hate palin but I feel her real response should have just been that she reads the links on the internet, I mean come on, shes in alaska it takes weeks to get mail up there!
She probably was just thinking of the links she follows and covering up the fact that she has no clue what actual paper she was reading, like most of us when reading the news on the internet, for a long time I just go google news links.

There's such a hypocrisy when it comes to how we think of actors/entertainers in politics. We love the ones that match our point of view, but say that the ones who disagree should shut the fuck up.
