my kitty does this purr meow all the time... when he wants food in the morning and randomly throughout the day. mostly when he wants to play or get pettings.

it's definitely an adorable and effective communication tool.

This is how they maniplate us! But dogs whine and beg at the table too. Isn't that a similar form of a dogs control over us? Or is it a learned behavior that they make use of a vacalization to obtain a treat?

What I find extraordinary is this scientist probably got millions of dollars of research money to determine that her pet cat makes a different noise when it wants food. Who doesnt know this?
