Last week Cavino and Rich on Maxim Radio had her as a guest. Yet O&A got nothing.

She was flirting like crazy with the Maxim Radio guys and seemed very capable of a back and forth discussion in a male dominated environment.

Oh yeah, it's another conpsiracy! Damn you, Mel!
Let's be real - O&A are terrible at interviewing anybody who isn't a "friend of the show". Neither of them are willing to do any prep, and the staff doesn't have the knowledge necessary to help them. They always wing it off bios that are probably put together by the celebrity's publicity team. Even then, they spend the majority of the time showing them Danny's six-month old Youtube discoveries. Remember how EVERYBODY had to see "2 girls, 1 cup"?

Maybe she said "no". What good would it do her to go on O&A? O&A's listening audience is her demographic? Their reputation doesn't precede them? And they're no longer on Free FM so a much less broad audience. I don't see why anyone like her WOULD do the show.

I guess I was reaching further than age and sex, but I see your point. I don't see the average O&A listener buying a magazine she's in unless it's penthouse, or watching any show she's in, ect. If you're listening to Maxim Radio, you're probably more prone to buy their mag, ect.

Great of Opie to post this just to show how ass backward the production meetings are.
Norton's input is, as usual, ignorant to Pop- Culture.
Ant is running out the door.
The "young guys" in the room are telling them that Seth Green is a good guest and they are shitting all over it.
Dice should be a "No" just because it's the same radio over and over again.

Although, I believe R&F should get the bigger better guests because of Ron. But that's why Ron has his own side thing.

Forrest is the type that fits in with the O&A setting best, he's laid back, can tell a story and can go along with anything.
A Hayden interview would just be her plugging her shit and a publicist hovering in the background waiting for the first opportunity to pull her out of there.

I agree. Plus, your average actress doesn't want to talk about the size of her clit or how often she touches herself. O & A are kind of a pr nightmare. Only a few women can really hold their own in that forum.

I've actually never listened to Stern. I have listened to O & A a couple of hours a week since a got XM a few years ago. In that time, I've never heard them talk with a woman and not try to steer the conversation into something sexual. It's not a dig on them, I've heard them do some great radio, it's just how I see it.

Interviews on both shows make me laugh. Both shows shit on celeb gossip and why we should give a shit about celebs, and then O&A bitch about NOT getting guests and ron does an interview show. I am sure I am in the minority here, but I think those type of interviews are painfully boring.

It's a matter of taste, I guess. In the last couple of weeks, they've had the organizers of Woodstock, CSN, a couple of up and coming directors, etc. In the past, it's not unusual to see interviews Nick Cave and similar artists. I'd much rather hear these people than some hack actor/actress extending their 15 minutes of fame promoting their lame movie that will disappear in two weeks.

A matter of taste and, at least for me, a matter of Age Demo. I find all those people boring to tears and I'm 28. How old do you have to be to start caring about the organizer of Woodstock? The All Points West Festival is coming to Liberty State Park in Jersey City the end of the month, how about that events organizer?
I admit it seems Ron at least tries to pick the most interesting of the boring for the show, but its still shining a turd.

They have no interview skills what so ever. They NEVER did, even in the glory days of WNEW it was shit.
They are so self obsessed these days, they couldn't turn there attention from there IPhones and Blackberrys long enough to care for Interview prep.
I cancelled my Sirius Subscription last Friday. I'll probably come back for a little while when they offer me like 6 months for free to sign back up, but I'm done paying for this shit.

OnA isn't an interview show. Guest work when they can come sit in throw in some remarks about the current topic. They get their plugs. Them reciting their pre-written script some PR guy gave them doesn't make good radio. In some ways people sitting in on Ron and Fez doesn't work well to me. The main people on the show do a good job of keeping the flow going and interviews by ron just work there.

I don't expect amazing interviews. But, getting guests in, subtly busting balls, maybe getting a good story, could be nice.
Of course Ron is the best interviewer, but their show, unfortunately, isn't seen as a place for most A level guests.
