It's not like I'm a big fan of Billy but last night's show was a travesty. Ron and Fez know that the man is on a one way trip to death and that's no joke! But when I heard Billy's rantings last night and Ron and Fez leading him on, I went ballistic!
I called the show and when asked why I wanted to talk to R&F by Al, I was told that is not what they wanted to talk about. If Billy was an employee of any other company, he either would have been put in a rehab or fired- But to use him as the butt of a joke- this is unforgiveable!
Say what you will but I just can't stand by and see someone make fun of soneone else's disability!
Thank you.

Remember - Billy CHOSE this, and when a person in his position makes a choice - ANY CHOICE - no one on the planet can stop them

Jackie Sloan,
Billy no more chose his alcoholism anymore than somebody else picks their particular disease.
For Ron and Fez to take advantage of him for a really cheap radio bit is dispicable!
Thank you

I don't fully know the motivation behind the show yesterday, but if I may hypothesize, I have to believe that R&F did it to show Billy EXACTLY why they want him to stop drinking.
I like Billy, I really do, but I think we can all agree that last night he was a total and utter embarassment to himself and his family. The man needs help, and I think last night's abortion was R&F's way of showing him this.

What I meant was when an alcoholic decides they're going to drink, no one can stop them...I know this because I am a dry alcoholic...over 7 years now. What happened to Billy last night is a perfect example of why I'll NEVER drink again. Peace bro'
Hoping for the best...

I thought you'd be happy at his destruction. Personally, it was painful to listen to. it was sad. it was disgusting. and i'll be surprised if he lives 6 months.

hearing billy last night truly terrified me. and ron and fez shouldn't have turned his disease into a (very funny) bit. but maybe this is what staples needed. maybe hearing himself sound like suck a jackass will sober him up.
I swear, it's not contagious!

Reeshy, I read and understood your concerns. But in my opinion you are putting way to much blame on Ron & Fez. Nobody held Billy down and poured alcohol down his mouth. It was his own decision to take a drink, just like it has been for his whole life. Don't forget he made the choice himself, alot of the blame should be on him as well.
IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

you know what Reeshy, I totally agree with you. My heart was there for Billy. Allthought at times it seemed as if they wanted it to be a lesson. But then it seemed as if they were taunting it to make a bit out of it, which again is totally wrong. This man needs serious help and to make fun of it in a way just plain sucks. Five bucks says that there gonna make some little promo outa everything that happened last night. Now Im hoping that they do this to make BIlly understand how bad he needs help. But knowing Ron and Fez there gonna taunt it a bit and probally run the whole bit into the ground. And for that they suck!

Give Ron and Fez more credit, guys. They are honorable men.
They did not take advantage of Billy. In fact, it is hoped that the show has lasting impact.
I hope Billy reaches the point where he is willing to face reality and take responsibility for his behavior before he kills himself or anyone else. 3 DUI's is 3 too many.

there is a fine line though.. when does the bit end and real life begin.. i dont think its right what they did.. AT ALL i think billy need to sort alot of shit out, and i dont think airing that shit out on air is the best for him and if ron and fez were his real friends they wouldnt want to do that either. because billy is my friend i had to turn the radio off a number of times last night.. poor guy
thanks to skidmark for this sig.**kisses** to my AG1247

HK,
I disagree with you totally! Billy knows that he is an alcoholic and doesn't need any help in getting drunk! Like I said bifore, He should either go to rehab or be fired but not used a a cheap radio bit! I never saw an alcoholic turn straight through ridicule! only through self respect!

the show was used as essentilaly a way to show him that he has a drinking problem.
And it was a joke because of yours feelings towards reeshy.

I don't think you can vilify Ron and Fez about any of this. Billy asked for the mystery date. Billy asked for the alcohol. Billy would have drank after the show anyway.
Ron cut Billy off the second it turned ugly.
Also, let's not forget before Christmas when Ron personally took Billy to meetings.
Also, let's not forget that there is alot that goes on behind the scenes that we don't hear.
Also, Billy is an entertainer by trade and willfully lends his life story for the sake of amusement. He knows as well as anyone that he only raised his worth to the show by that display.
