Went on a mom/kids camping adventure yesterday. Stopped at the grocery store to pick up some food. My 6 year old, Burkely, was arguing with me about which kind of pickles to buy...ended up with 2 broken jars of dill pickles all over my feet.

I wasn't quite sure if the other moms were bringing alcohol. After the grocery store incident I didn't care. I stopped off at the liquor store and bought 3 bottles of wine for last night.

Found out all of the moms were having problems with their kids too...they each brought alcohol. So we put the kids to bed...sat by the fire and chatted til 2 am while drinking..

at 9 am Burkely wakes me up to yell at me about shrimp and that he hasn't had it for a long time and wouldn't let up. On my way home I called Rhino and said "Can Burkely please go up north with your parents?"

Is this ok? I kinda feel guilty sending him away, but he has really been on my nerves lately...

I wish I could get away with shit like that as kid. I grew up in a country where parents weren't afraid to lay a solid hand on their kids and seeing this shit in America where parents are victims to their kids is sickening. I wish you luck because I have seen what those kids turn into as teenagers and it is scary.

Gotta pull out the serious card for a second. The boy has Aspergers. It is difficult to discipline him in that fashion.

Now his sister on the other hand does not have Aspergers. She'll get her ass beat if continues like that.

Why would you feel guilty? I sent my 13 and 18 yr old to granny's for the weekend a coupla of weeks ago. They got hair cuts, ate fast food, went to the movies, ripped on grandpa and stopped off @ the Cracker Barrel to load up on old timey candy.
