I used to sling d'oeuvres for a living and while lamb was a big hit, it was extra work because you had to go around collecting bones or people would just throw them on the ground. Same thing with shrimp/chicken on a skewer. I think the tastiest thing I ever passed was a hand breaded fried chicken with a hoisin honey dipping sauce, but the skewers made it a pain in the butt. I think the tastiest thing I ever passed was a mini spanakopita that my boss used to make himself. They were out of this world.

I also like feeling superior to people when I pronounce bruschetta the correct way.

Actually, I will judge any type of restaurant by their fried calamari. It's not an easy test to pass. I've been to some Chinese restaurants (Ping's Seafood) that have fried calamari that is better than I've ever had at an Italian.
