Last week Speed didn't really work out. This week they didn't bother to pick a film. What say you is movie club dead?
If they're gonna keep picking piece of shit movies, I sure hope so.
I was gonna suggest "Once Upon A Time In The West" if it came up yesterday.
Something old, relatively unseen by most people, and it's AWESOME.

And it's a kick-ass song to boot.

I am sure the Executive Producer had his reasons for not having a Movie Club this week.

I think movie club works best with terrible movies. I had a lot of fun with the happening.

I love that movie. It's sitting on my dvd rack staring at me...
And you can't go wrong with Ennio Morricone.

i agree. the happening was the best one. its better when they rip apart a movie that everyone agrees completely sucks. otherwise its just ron telling everyone why the movie is good.

I have to be in the mood to watch certain movies and if it's something I've seen before or have no interest in I'm not gonna force myself to watch it.
I still enjoy hearing them talk about it on the show though.

As much as I hated the film, I loved ragging on it.

I nominate Deep Blue Sea. So bad, that you are glued to the screen laughing at their attempts at drama.
Shows Samuel Jackson to be the horrible actor he is.

Me too! I watched it with my wife and we had so much fun making fun of it, then it was great hearing the show talk about it. It was just so absurd.
Also, I told some co-workers about a "bad movie club" I was trying to be a part of and they thought it was pretty clever.
I really recommend Cloverfield and Transformers. They both have terrible stories that would be fun to mock.

it was a good idea for a bit, but so is 'out your friends monday'.
ron was too picky about the movies others chose and shouldn't have ridden fez so hard on 'the cooler', nor should have bothered so much about 'is it on a premium channel, is it on netflix instant?' of course the later he worried about for his own convenience, like his preposterous (the king of cool is getting a little soft) demand for someone to create a 202 twitter so he wouldn't be annoyed by other's boring following-ers.
they should devise a way to skip the movie selection themselves. random number generator or something. pick a random criterion selection. if they want call-ins, maybe rf.net could nominate the films. is there a movie channel on sirius that could be a tie-in somehow
shhhhhh... it's fez's turn to pick.
let this week slip by, and we can pick it up next week when it's pepper hicks' turn to pick again.

The only thing that can save Movie Club(tm) is Volcano...
Tommy Lee Jones as a lead. Ann Heche in her 'lesbian' phase as the love interest. Bad science. Bad acting. The Hieronymus Bosch joke. It just may be the best worst movie ever...

I love the club. I hope they keep it goin' on n' on till the breaka breaka dawn.
They need to do the KARATE KID series for the all-weekend fatty-pneumonia version of Movie Club.
