Once in awhile I'll grab a tenderloin or some pork chops for a change of pace. It never leaves me satisfied, though.

Every time after I eat it I think "I should have had a steak instead. Or chicken or turkey."

Am I alone in this?

Maybe the Muslims and Jews are right not to eat it.

I think you're becoming mentally unstable. Next you'll be extolling the wonders of beef bacon and turkey ham.

I think you need to broaden your horizons a bit...much more you can eat that chops of tenderloin. One of the most delicious things in the world is slow cooked pork belly.

Bacon tastes good. Pork chops taste goood.

No way, pork rules. I will agree that sometimes it is not quite as filling as beef or chicken, but it is still delicious.

From the simplicity of bacon on the side, a ham sandwich, or a ham steak to the more complex preparation of crusted pork tenderloin, pork barbecue, or Gorgonzola stuffed pork chops - pork is delicious, nutritious, and a great addition to any meal.

Get pork chops from a good Vietnamese restaurant. If you still think pork is overrated check a mirror to see if you have a reflection, because you sir, have no soul.

Why would you make jokes at Chris's expense at a birthday party?

I love pork. I'm having bacon on my salad as I type this. I also bought a beautiful pork shoulder at the market the other day. And the 5 lb. pork loin I grilled last week? Divine.

There is no better piece of meat than a perfect steak, so I can see going with a steak over pork (but it has to be a really good steak -- mediocre steak sucks ass). When is pork ever not better than chicken, though?

pork is my favorite thing to barbecue...just seems to blend best with the barbecue sauce

beef is my favorite thing to grille or roast (w/ a good rub)...poultry is the best fried meat...and seafood is good in any fashion

I love meat...

I gave up pork and beef months ago and don't miss them. Have you ever seen a pig get slaughtered? Not pretty. I just don't want another living thing to have to go through that just so I can have a mediocore meal if I can avoid it.

well yes...not too distant family members were in that business (major Smithfield Virginia output)...while the slaughter is far from pleasant, I don't think fish or poultry can possibly enjoy their demise...just imagining the slow suffocation that fish experience (or being gutted while still alive)...that would be the worse of all in my opinion...

but I like it all just fine...tasty...

You are either eating the wrong pork, or eating from the wrong places. And have you forgotten the glory of sausage, bacon and ham? Pork isnt just an entree ya know.

Are we talking pork the noun or pork the verb?

Gvac
07-26-2009, 04:24 PM
Listen...I will NEVER denounce the deliciousness of bacon, sausage, ham, or any other pig product. I'm talking about a piece of pork as the MAIN meat in a dinner.

To me it just doesn't compare to beef or fowl.

Yes, killing animals for food is necessary.

I can not (other than a certain type of bacon) eat store bought pork any longer, haven't for years. It tastes way different than wild hog, or a good farm raised hog. If I want to eat pig, I have to go to this Mexican meat market in the old part of town to buy it, or shoot the hog myself up at my property.
