Well, it was a while ago.
Before I said fuck it and shaved it all off (myself, btw).

I got my hair washed by a beautiful girl, and cut by a fabulously gay gentleman.
I think it ended up costing in all $50, with tips.

Wealth is bullshit. Beauty and function, efficiency, things that work better than the previous version. I don't know why we, as a people, don't strive to create things that improve on the past. I feel like we have a large group of people who just want the things we have now or have done in the past to be recycled and mashed up in some new way, and somehow that's fresh and creative. Nothing is progressive anymore, it's all conservative, not just our politics, but our lifestyles, everything is the same, just the price goes up.

I've always said that if I were to win the lottery; no one would be able to tell by looking at me. I'd just live a little more comfortably, I wouldnt advertise it.

I saw a guy wearing big fancy oversized sunglasses and antique leather shiney fingerless gloves indoors. That type of show boatery really turns me off.

If you made the money, I don't care what the person does to show it off.

But... When it comes to the wives/boyfriends or whatever it's a totally different story. They're usually the ones that tend to be walking around flaunting it like it's their money.

I attended an ostentatious display of wealth on Saturday. And had the greatest time of my life. I love when friends don't mind sharing their money when they are showing off.

We've been fighting with this our entire history, its just been percieved in different ways. So it does bother me to see, but on the other hand it's got to be a little comforting that its been going on for so long and not meant the end of culture and our species.

This isn't exactly a display of wealth, but I remember it getting mentioned on the show that someone ordered scrambled eggs and toast (Fez mabye?) delivered to their house, which absolutely outraged me.

And the idea of a $40 dollar pizza, seriously.

Here's all that needs to be said: money doesn't equal style and style doesn't equal money. I've been in multi million dollar houses that were hideous, and I've been in shacks that look so cool and totally reflect a person who's thoughtful, creative well traveled and interesting.

But it does need to be said: if you have tons of money AND great style then some really great things can happen. Money, used properly, can make life really interesting.

It can also make people really boring.
