Did Lazarus ever die?

In the Bible, Jesus raised Lazorus from the dead. What happened to him? Did he eventually die again, or is he still walking among us? Is he bitter if that's the case, because all his loved ones eventually die and he keeps going?

in medevil literature, some texts have Lazarus as "the wandering jew", unable to die and wandering the earth.
many theories state that he was really st. john the apostle, which is why his story only appears in john's gospel. if that's the case, then yes he's dead

according to one of my high school religion classes, Lazarus was Resuscitated, not Resurrected.

Lazarus, in Princess Bride terms, was only "mostly dead" and was resuscitated and eventually died for real, perhaps years later.

Jesus, on the other hand, was Resurrected from actual death and never again returned to the state of death.


back when i used to believe in the bible, "what happened to Lazarus?" was one of my biggest questions. if someone raised me from the dead, i'd be one of his biggest fans and join his flock of followers. yet Lazarus simply disappears from the story.

in actuality, the Lazarus story is not unique to Christianity and was most-likely borrowed from pre-christian myths and incorporated into the gospels, similar to much of the Jesus story.

it's all just mythological hogwash.

In the bible Jesus raised him from the dead. He didn't make him immortal. So i would think he died later on in life.
