OK.. a little background. In November of 2008 I weighed 381 lbs.(three hundred and eighty one pounds). Since then.. or since recovering from a broken leg, I have been seriously dieting.. and up until three weeks ago, I didn't seriously exercise. I lost over 100 lbs doing just that. Since I am now walking and running and doing jump rope every single day for 45minutes to an hour I have lost an additional 17 lbs bringing me (Last Saturday 8th) to 264 lbs. One thing I've noticed though is that I now have fairly attactive hairy B cups which I didn't notice before when I was truly rotund. I still have another 70 lbs to lose and am wondering if my man-boobs will vanish with the final weight loss or do I need to do some additional exercise that somehow focuses on my pectorals?
Oh.. and Dr. Steve i right. My cock has gotten a lot bigger. :)

The chest is definitely one of the easier areas to define through exercise. It would be ideal if you could find the time to use a bench press every other day: nothing too heavy, just 3 sets of 10 with each set a little heavier than the last. If you can't do that (and you should do this even if you can) just do push ups. Try doing a set of 10 in the morning and then 10 before you go to bed. If you can't do that many at this point just do whatever your max is. After 3 days increase that total by 1 and so on. I've found these are most effective if you have a yoga ball. Those things are great to maximize the "little" exercises. If you can't get one of those at least try and do the pushups with your feet elevated at least a foot off the ground.

I'd be able to do the pushups.. the man way, btw.. lol.. but I can't do bench presses as I drive a truck long haul. I do have a couple of 30 lbs hand weights though.. could i use those like a bench press? I haven't been doing as many pushups as I should.. I can do 10... barely. I've been out of shape for so long it's insane.. but having lost 117 lbs has made it a hell of a lot easier. thank you so much for your ideas. I'll start right now!

It's less doing it the "man's way" and just doing it the way that maximizes the benfits. Trust me, your back will thank you.

I'm only posting to say congrats on your weight loss to date. You truckers have alot of temptations to eat out there on the road and plenty of time to do it. Best of luck in getting rid of the man boobs.

yes that's what he means and he is talking about your signature :)
Congrats on the weight loss. Exercise is my enemy, but if you have the motivation and keep at it you will see these man boobs disappear.

Congrats on the weight loss. I would add that push-ups are great, but do variations to work different parts of the pectoral muscle. I recommend raising your feet to do some sets. Just put your feet up on a chair (without the bottom of your feet touching the back of the chair) so youre in a decline position. These are more difficult that regular push-ups and work your lower pectorals, which should help with man boobs. Too much straight bench and push ups are great for strength, but can actually increase "boobs."

I too want to congratulate you on your weight loss and hope you keep it up. The man boobs can be caused by a lower testosterone level from when you were heavier. This can be a condition called gynecomastia which is reversible, especially since you are exercising more.
Upper body exercising like mojo said will also help to reduce the fat there and build more muscle. Pushups take time to build up but you should be able to do around 40 in 2 minutes with persistence.

butterfly's or "tree-hugs" will work wonders on those, espeically since you have weights.

Man moobs will only dissapear with fat reduction. Adding more muscle overall will burn more fat, but spot reduction is next to impossible

Although the chest is a relatively easy area to define with moderate exercise, you may find that you can't get rid of the tit-fat. You may have well developed pectoralis muscles below the skin, but still have jugs, in other words.
If that happens (and I'd wait until you lose all the weight you're going to lose and until you've given exercise a real go...like a good year's worth), you could be a candidate for a surgical solution like liposuction.
I'd make 100% sure that the gynecomastia (man-hooters) is not due to other factors, e.g., low testosterone or marijuana smoking or certain medications (like Tagamet or spironolactone).
Most of the time, though, I think the weight loss plus exercise will do the trick.
And yes, you can use your 30lb hand weights to "bench press"...using free weights is a great way to exercise anyway, since you have to use accessory muscles to stabilize the weights (as opposed to a nautilus, where you isolate the muscles you want to stress).
here's a link that may help: http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/dumbellexercises.html
if you pay a few bucks and get the P90 fat burning course, it has a lot of chest development exercises in it. I used to think resistance bands were for "fancy men" until I tried them myself. Amazing results, and you can throw the bands in your suitcase.
good luck man, very proud of you on your achievements.
your pal,
steve
PS: and thanks for confirming the "Penis Reclamation Project" main thesis...that weight loss = penis length. A great motivator!

Get your testosterone levels up by doing some muscle-building exercises. And lay off the booze (it raises your estrogen levels). That made my man boobs shrink quite a bit the last time I was losing weight.
I gained a lot of my weight back, but lately have been losing through just diet alone. I haven't noticed nearly as much a reduction as I did last time.

These are some of the exercises that can be done to slowly remove the fats that comprise man boobs.
1. Jog – This can improve your breathing which will also improve your heart rate.
2. Walking – This is of lesser speed than walking but is still effective in removing our body fats.
3. Elliptical – To focus more exercising effort on your chest while doing elliptical, raise your arms and turn them around their sockets. Your chest will then be able to get more exercise.
4. Swimming – This is a very active exercise which can rock your whole body to action.
These exercises can help you remove fats not only from your man boobs but also from every moving part of your body. If you engage in these exercises, you can then slowly remove your man boobs.
