Sometimes topics come up he's never been interested in (music) and they take up time because Dave runs his mouth about them. Which is fine - good topics. But Dave isn't stepping up in Fez's place. If Dave weren't there, those topics wouldn't come up much but others would.

When it comes to sports (sans football barely), music, movies, Fez doesn't know about any of the topics and usually says nothing b/c of it. He admits to going home and pretty much doing nothing when he should be doing some homework and possibly learning about these topics so he doesn't have to blindly chime in w/ absolutely no knowledge. THe only thing he does is try to come up w/ hypothetical situations that they could throw back and forth (i.e. the same thing listeners do when sending in emails) and most of the times, his ideas bomb.

That's a good point too. Why not do a couple of shows without callers? they have done it many times in the past, whether they were pre-taped shows or the phone system went down.

It could give them the ability to perform a "reset" and get things going in a good direction again. When they bring the phones/callers back, many of them would probably prefer the new "groove" to the old hostility and attacks.

Most of the time I think.......What Ron is trying to do is get Fezzie to stand up for himself and tell Ronnie to fuck off and stop instigating the shit.

That's a good point too. Why not do a couple of shows without callers? they have done it many times in the past, whether they were pre-taped shows or the phone system went down.

Yes, but they obviously DON'T correctly instruct the screeners. It has been a problem since they started on XM. Unless somebody starts to act like a producer and take the reigns of the show, the only way around it is to axe the callers for a while.
