View Full Version : Ron Bennington Interviewing skills
It's been said before, (and often by me) but Ron amazes me with how good an interviewer he is. He gets the most out of his guests and can interview people from a wide variety of backgrounds.
I often enjoy them even if I don't like the guests
Cheers to you Ronnie B.

There have been numerous times where I had no interest in the guest and ended up listening to the whole thing.

Spy...who was that guy that talked so slow and in so much detail that even Ronnie couldn't make it entertaining...we were cracking on the guest in the "hear-us-talk" chat room...I just remember thinking that I could read his book in the time it took him to tell us about it...Ron even cracked on him after he left...

I remember that guy - he was like 98 yrs old.
Sylvia Miles was another weird interview and damn fun in the HUT room

Ron was getting on his guys for booking him...kept saying there was no way to produce that segment and make it entertaining...heard it after the production...Ron was right...

I love when he interviews football players best but any sports figure is good. The Warren Moon, Walt Frazier and Kareem are radio gold but when he had Fezzie guess who was in studio and it was Warren Sapp that was my favorite interview hands down.

i fast forward through a lot of the interviews. Bonnie Raitt and Taj Mahal?!?!? really?!?
i'll take a 'bad guest' segment from back in the old days over most of the guests that get interviewed on the show now.

I didn't charge my xm radio Thursday night, so I turned on our local terrestrial morning show yesterday. They were interviewing Michael Lang, the Woodstock organizer Ronnie interviewed Wednesday. I can't even begin to describe how bad their interview was compared to Ronnie's. It couldn't even come close to Fez's interview of Jonah Bobo.
