Here's a question for ya. On the left side of my chin a section of facial hair disappeared. It is about the size of a nickel and for a while perfectly smooth, now there are a sparse amount of tiny white hairs emerging.so what the heck is up.

Alopecia Areata (http://dermatology.about.com/cs/hairloss/a/alopeciaareata.htm)
Can happen on the face (if you are male) and scalp areas. The patches of hair loss can range from the size of a pencil eraser and larger and typically tend to be round.
I have had a couple of clients who have had this and the areas usually fill back in on their own.

Yep, it sounds like alopecia areata...we covered it in this thread (http://www.ronfez.net/forums/showthread.php?t=74592). Let me know if that doesn't answer your question fully.
