I don't know....it's going to be tough to top the iconic image of a paunchy Jack Nicholson with sideburns dressed like a stockbroker and eating a deer.

Looks better than expected considering its release has been hampered by countless delays and reshoots. I was really excited for this back when Mark "One Hour Photo" Romanek was attached. I'm detecting kind of an R-rated vibe from the trailer too which is a pleasant surprise; I thought for sure this would've been PG-13 with an emphasis on campiness.

I was surprised at how much Anthony Hoplins contributed.

Reviews are mostly poor but I'm still going to give it a look.

Howlingly good! :smoke:

It was actually flawed in several areas but I still enjoyed watching it. The era is recreated with great photography and striking art direction, the acting is good, and the large amount of bloody gore was a refreshing throwback to a time when a large budget didn't automatically result in softened content. I kind of sensed that this was a "Wolfman for Dummies" reconfiguration of a less hurried cut, so I hope that extra run time padding will reappear when it arrives on home video.

I've kind enjoyed all these CGI reconstructions of old London....this would be a great double feature with Sherlock Holmes....
Even better we could make a new movie called
Abbot and Costello Meet The Wolfman Meet The Hounds of The Baskerville

Is this a review from the 1980's?

Yeah. The Emily Blunt side boob from the nightmare montage left me wanting more.

Hey, home video in the traditional sense is making a comeback!

Saw it. Didn't hate it. It might have been the Nyquil and xanax but I fell asleep twice. Side tit was good but I agree we needed more tit.

I suspect you handle Nyquil and Xanex quite readily.

He's this generation's Basil Rathbone.

First DRACULA, now this.

I know Rathbone, and He's no Rathbone.

I watched it last night and I think this review has it right on. However, I would like to add my 2 cents. First off, the visuals where amazing. I thought the CGI was fine, the scenes where gorgeous and the customes beautiful. The actors where great as well. I think the main problem with the movie was the script and lack there of. It was poorly written and out of the 140 minutes it took to watch the movie, there was maybe 30 minutes of dialogue between the characters.
