Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis Set to Have "Aggressive, Angry Sex" in new Darren Aranofsky film 'Black Swan' (http://www.celebuzz.com/natalie-portman-mila-kunis-set-s128611/)
"Can I just tell you why none of my review matters? Can I just tell you why my review is absolutely pointless? Because in this movie, Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis have sex," the review reads. "Yeah. You read that right. And not just nice sweet innocent sex either. We're talking ecstasy-induced hungry aggressive angry sex. Yeah so...this movie is already on the must-see list of 2010."Yes, please.

The rest of the review of this movie makes it sound interesting. Like "Vertigo" with hot lesbian sex.
And don't think for a moment Hitchcock wouldn't have put hot lesbian sex in one of his movies if he could have gotten away with it.

Ooops.
Maybe not.
Another Hollywood couple bites the dust.
Rachel Weisz and her director beau, Darren Aronofsky, have split, a rep for Aronofsky confirms to E! News.
What happened to end their nine-year coupling?
Despite being together since 2001, engaged since 2005 and having a 4-year-old son, Henry, Weisz had long admitted to being shy about pulling the trigger on marriage.
"Funnily enough, just recently I suddenly felt like I really would like to get married," Weisz said during an appearance on The View last January. "It's just a feeling. I know it's a funny thing."
Weisz had also gushed to Redbook last year that she and the Wrestler filmmaker were committed "until death do us part" although no official vows had been exchanged.
Somewhere along the line things changed.
Notably, there have been rumors about Weisz and Daniel Craig. She and the 007 star allegedly did some serious Bond-ing while working on the film Dream House earlier this year, though neither has confirmed any romance.
As for Aronofsky and Weisz, the couple had been planning to reteam (they previously worked together on 2005's sci-fi flick The Fountain) on a biopic of Jackie Kennedy, but that project no longer is listed on either's IMDb credits.
The couple plan to share custody of Henry and continue to raise him in New York

I agree somewhat about the lesbian scene, though it's still a bit hot. What's HOTTER are the masturbation scenes that nobody seems to talk about (calm down, guys, no nudity; under clothes, mostly) . Apparently one of the themes of the movie is that Natalie Portman's character is becoming more and more mentally unstable. I'd imagine it's linked to that.

I absolutely LOVED Requiem For A Dream. To this day... it's still the most visceral theater experience I've ever had but.... I'm starting to feel like like Aronofsky is a bit too hit & miss.
Pi was interesting and promising but, overall... a bit too rough and unrefined.
Requiem was brilliant.
Fountain was way to convoluted and just plain flashy.
Wrestler was understated but, solid.
Swan was a disjointed mess. I really didn't enjoy the overall tone of dementia and mental illness. It didn't feel "right". What's real and what is fake is never really addressed. Additionally... the motivations of every character in this film are hard to define, as are their reactions to the other characters. It seemed very dreamlike... simply for the sake of being dreamlike. Almost like there WASN'T a reality.

Explained:
Natalie Portman goes Beautiful Mind on herself and imagines things that don't exist. Split personality, some other shit thrown in. Anyway, the sex scene is imagined in her head. In the end (SPOILER), she imagines that she is stabbing Mila Kunis, but has in fact stabbed herself, and ends up dying at the end of her first performance of Swan Lake, which ends up being "perfect" - her dream.
It's a very interesting movie. Not perfect by any sense, but it's very well done, and very close to being great. Similar to The Wrestler - it's very good at many things, but falls just short in some aspects. The one thing's that obvious, is that Aronofsky is a great director, and one of these times he's going to make an all-time classic. I would guess that Wolverine is not going to be it, but the film after that, you never know.

I simply don't care for a movie that has no basis in reality. A movie where NOTHING is real. It's hard to connect with the character... as there are no consequences.
EX:
Nina picks at her cuticle.
The hangnail then turns into a one inch wound.
She digs and rips at the wound until she rips huge 10 inch sections of skin off her hand.
She then looks at her hand and sees that, in fact, she isn't injured. She imagined it.
Why isn't this imaginary mutilation met with any confusion? From this point forward... her CHARACTER should be realizing that she needs help. Or, at the very very least, she should be aware of the fact that "things are not what they seem".
But that doesn't happen.
So.... for me... as an audience member, there is ZERO tension. The paintings aren't moving. The wounds aren't real. The dopplegangers aren't there. The paranoia isn't based in reality. Etc etc.
I seriously had nothing invested in the movie because.... there simply weren't any consequences. It doesn't move forward.

Yes, because in real life crazy people seek help and do not try to hide their mental instability.
What's more, it's completely in character. She has worked her entire life to become a prima ballerina, with the enormous pressure of her mother's failure hanging over her, the fear of becoming just like her etc. Now that she is so close to her goal, she has this breakdown over fear of failure. It's a perpetual circle - the fear causes the breakdown, which she copes with by avoidance which compounds the problem for lack of treatment, which causes more breakdowns and more fears.

I agree, also the pacing in the movie is SO fast that there's almost a sense she has no chance to get help. She's being thrown into the role of her lifetime, no one would stop and say, "hold on, I think i'm going crazy."

I disagree with that.
The fact that she doesn't properly react to what is (isn't) happening to her is unrealistic and un-natural.
These "wounds" and hallucenations and doppelgangers WOULD be met with "what the fuck is happening to me?!"
She is a normal person who is BECOMING insane. She's leaving normalcy and slipping into madness. The normal Nina would and should have had more a reaction to the things that she's experiencing.
People who suddenly seeing their face projected on every female in NYC, and bleeding from their fingers, and so and so on most definitely WOULD have a reaction to that.
As foodcourt stated... it was outlining her DESCENT into madness. Not the end of her sanity. For me... it didn't feel like enough of a journey. It was like... BAM... she's batshit insane.

Whoa, you saw every scene with her and her mother, right?
From the moment she wakes up and is surrounded by a room full of things for an adolescent girl, despite very clearly being an adult you can tell something is amiss in her psychological age.
Her mother controls her to such an extent that it can't even be called coddling, it's just flat-out emotional (and sometimes physical) abuse-on top of constant monitoring. The only times Nina lashes out on her mother are instantaneously met with the mother going batshit. Then you see Nina immediately become subdued and back in the role of a weak, little girl.
I mean EVERYTHING IS PINK. It doesn't just reflect the ideas of femininity and ballerinas, she is obviously living in a "play-pretend" world where she is a ballerina because she "wants" to be, but in reality she just can't admit/deal with the fact that her mother has created and forced her into what she has become.
grlNIN
12-22-2010, 08:55 PM
Also, every scene she shares with a person who is in a position of power with her she is constantly seeking and waiting for their approval. The scene she shared with Cassel where he "seduces" her is so disgusting because it's like he's a molester (which is such a rich undertone of the film). Even the "my little princess" line that is repeated when it comes to both Beth AND Nina (and the insinuation of Beth being his lover for some time). His "little princesses", women, girls, who are not in positions of power over themselves or anyone else-they have no autonomy, they're essentially children.

So........did she actually fuck Mila Kunis or was that part of her insanity as well? Lily admits to slipping her E in her drink, so does she fuck her and bail just to play mind games with her? Does Nina actually bring home a dude and bang him instead, just thinking it's Lily? Or does she imagine the whole thing cause she's batshit crazy?

I think she DID bang Mila.
Hence.... the door was already locked from the inside when Nina woke up (late) and rushed out the next morning.

Actually, the role is based on Ballanchine, who was well known for picking his prima ballerinas, then sleeping with them. I know, pretty sick, but real.

Wasn't sure how I'd feel about this, as I'm not a huge fan of ballet. It was fucking amazing. Darren Aronosfsky is on my short list of MUST SEE directors.
I agree with you, except I think I'd call both this and The Wrestler great (different opinion though, whatever). I credit Aronofsky for executing an insanely original and ambitious idea. A modern day adaptation of Swan Lake? How did this movie even get made? lol
The scenes you're mentioning are outlining her descent into madness. The film reminded me a lot of Jacob's Ladder.
I agree with all of these posts. GET OUT OF MY HEAD.
I haven't really been hit as hard by a movie in a long time as I have with Black Swan. I thought it was great.

Shoulder blades and collar bones...SEXY!
I like to see ribs and pelvic bones.
You're both in luck!
The already skinny Natalie Portman lost about 20lbs for the role.
That was just bizarre and kind of boring at times
Bizarre?? Maybe
Boring???? NOT AT ALL!!!
Her mother was definitely keeping her in a child like state;
from the cake incident, to cutting her nails, to putting mittens on her as you would an infant.

That's a little gay.
Gay is a binary state. You either are, or are not. You can suck a little cock, but that doesn't mean you're a little gay. You could be a physically little person and be gay, thus a little gay, I suppose ....
