I like some of your ideas, but having the board be about nothing but the show would be horrible. First off, the board was NEVER like that. Why should it be now? Second, The board would be almost useless during vacations. Third, MANY times, Ron has done whole show segments about topic brought up on the board (I don't mean drama, but interesting things). It would also completely ruin the community feeling that the people who actually enjoy it here have. Look at all the relationships and strong friendships that have come from here. This forum and other forums that started off as one subject evolve. People become friends and then the sub forums go off and running and people can use the forum as a one stop shop for your posting needs.

Since becoming a member here I do not really use any other forum unless its strictly topic based ex; my motorcycle forum for my streetbike, and the mens fitness forum. Both forums have similar type sub forums.

I have to agree with others who have pointed out the monotony of keeping the board ONLY about the show. I used to post regularly on the Brian Wilson website before I even joined here. But a year of posting about "Why Pet Sounds is my favorite album" and "what did you think of Brian's last show" got old real fast. I like the different topics and I have become friendly with a lot of people because of similar likes in music or sports or whatever.

R&F is the common thread that brought a lot of us together when we probably never would have even met. Shit, just look at all the couples!

Granted the fighting days are sometimes hard to listen but I don't see that as taking away from the show. This is not the Howard Stern show, this is not the Opie and Anthony show. Ron and Fez is more of a radio 'family' than an entertainment show for me and with a family there are good and bad times. We still have the buddies so I am just going to be happy for that and enjoy it while it lasts.

Granted the fighting days are sometimes hard to listen but I don't see that as taking away from the show. This is not the Howard Stern show, this is not the Opie and Anthony show. Ron and Fez is more of a radio 'family' than an entertainment show for me and with a family there are good and bad times. We still have the buddies so I am just going to be happy for that and enjoy it while it lasts.

Take any topic in the world and people are going to bring themselves into their comments. Blowhard likes a positive sense of community and reminiscing so that what he wants the board to be. Dan laroe wanted people to love him at gunpoint so he tried that on here. I am just talking about peoples internet personalities also so who knows what you are going to get.

I have to agree with others who have pointed out the monotony of keeping the board ONLY about the show. I used to post regularly on the Brian Wilson website before I even joined here. But a year of posting about "Why Pet Sounds is my favorite album" and "what did you think of Brian's last show" got old real fast. I like the different topics and I have become friendly with a lot of people because of similar likes in music or sports or whatever.

R&F is the common thread that brought a lot of us together when we probably never would have even met. Shit, just look at all the couples!

Please pick something less recent so Blowhard can relate.

A good start is one account per person, per ip, whatev. It's tough to take people on this board seriously. This is the only board I frequent where it is common for people to have more than one or two or three or four accounts. It is really goddamn lame.

How does this help a new listener or someone who isn't "part of the veterans or in-crowd" when some cocksucker with six accounts heckles you in one topic. Or that same cocksucker is posting answering himself in his/her same thread. It's fucking stupid.
