How come whenever I open a bottle of seltzer it's like opening a bottle of champagne: it bubbles and spills over.

Yet, I've rarely experienced that with [diet] soda.

Do all the additives keep the carbonation under control?

I've wondered that myself. Same with tonic water. But if I open cheap tonic (Food Lion brand) it bubble up like crazy and the whole bottle is flat in a few minutes.

I wasn't.

We all gain in some way. I gained NOTHING emotionally from it but I did get a couple of his CDs.

It's all give and take.

It also might happen to deal with seltzer usually comes in a plastic bottle which is more easily shook up than a can.
