Since most of the board (and, unfortunately, the Show) has devolved into a Team Fez v. Team Dave pissing match as to who is to blame for the decline of the Show, I thought it might be a good idea to start a relatively unpolluted place to give props to my favorite Beatle, Mr. Ron Bennington.
I posit that Mr. Bennington combines the interviewing skills of a Charlie Rose with the comedic skills of a, well, Ron Bennington. He has kept faith with the listeners by more than fufilling his entertainment quota every show and has overdelivered by taking us on thought trips that demonstrate a well-developed, subtle and ultimately fascinating skull noodle at work. To have him trapped in the bad melodrama 'round here of late is (to hide behind business/economic speak) using a very valuable resource in a very inefficient manner.
Since there are enough finger-pointing threads on the board I humbly ask that we keep this thread analogous to Earl's version of heaven, where we limit the comments to chanting "Holy, Holy, Holy" to Kid Charlemagne, I mean, Bennington.
Note: A rare bout of insomina has influenced the timing, but not the content, of this post.

I would think this entire board is Team Ron first and foremost.
And I personally while defending Dave, isnt accusing Fez of anything. I personally dont feel there is a decline in the show. And I probably wont as long as Rons on it.

Isn't Dave on Team Bennington? And Earl was on team Whatley? Or am I misremembering show history.

I'm pretty sure Team Bennington had Earl, Team Whatley had ESD.

I am a bit surprised that you folks don't think the show has declined. Since the only part I was able to hear today was the last hour of fourth-grade dramafest I'm convinced the show has hit rock bottom. I guess we like (or in my case liked) the show for entirely different reasons. I always liked it for the razor-sharp wit, not cringe for its own sake.
Let me be more explicit in the point I was trying to make last night. I think Ron should give a viking's funeral not to RonFez.Net (which seems likely to implode any day now on its own) but to the Ron and Fez Show itself. I wish Fez and Dave all the happiness in the world (since it seems to be in short supply for them these days) and that they continue to have successful careers in whatever they choose but Ron should start putting together that smart and hip show that he wants because this one has gone in a whole 'nother direction.

I guess so. I like the show for Ron first and foremost. The day the show comes on and his voice isnt there, thats the day the show has declined.

Ron is awesome. I think he has proven time and again that he can turn a giant steaming pile into radio gold. The mediocre lives of a few Jew Yorkers and show insiders plus the long torturous reveal of a funny man going insane have been rivoting radio and its all due to this man. I can only hope he is stearing it into a direction that ultimately ends up with Ron, Ant and Chriss Tanley doing a traveling circus freak side show with 24hr big brother style coverage on radio, TV and the internet.
