Since Last Night in Brooklyn screened for the first time last night, what did the attendees think of the movie?

I have seen the movie before, so I knew what to expect from that perspective, although I did notice a few more details this time around that I did not understand the first time, like most movies when you watch them a few times.

The storyline was fantastic, the acting was great, and they did a great job keeping me laughing and entertained. I give it 9 pinky rings.

I took 1 ring off because of course, a bigger budget would gave them better video quality on the big screen.

You were an attendee. What did you think of the movie?

Was the attendance good?

I hope so for Franklyn's sake.

And can anyone give a review?

I was quite surprised at how well the story was told and wrapped up with all the twist and turns of the plot line. The scenes shot around Coney Island made me hungry for some Nathans or pizza. The Bulldog in the movie was awfully fat for being a stray. When one of the characters finally gets what he deserves the whole audience clapped and cheered with approval. Yes, Franklyn and Dean can make a damn good movie. Whats the next project??

I didn't want to do a review in the first post just because I didn't want to skew opinions. I really liked it. I thought FRANKLYN had a unique voice that harkened back to mid 90's indie films. The actors were all really good and the story was well told.

Was the attendance good?

I'd say it was 85 to 90 percent full. Some seats here and there were empty.

So..who's got a bootleg?

I was completely entertained by the film from its opening scene.

While the film had all the gripping elements (the twists and turns Radio Shark alluded to) of the best gangster masterpieces, it offered none of the petty conventions that often weigh down mainstream mobster films. The very premise of the film intertwines the concepts of fairy-tale and mobster-thriller seamlessly! Very grounded and refreshing.

Thank you Franklyn, Dean, Lauren, Ben, and the rest of the cast & crew for blessing the film world with this little nugget of gold! I hope it gets all the accolades it so righteously deserves.

P.S. Woozy Girl is a star!
