It's interesting that you ask that...I remember that damn Krebs Cycle to this day. The thing about it is that it was one of the first complete metabolic cycles ever worked out, and it's the reason you and I are alive.
The Krebs Cycle (also called the TCA cycle, among other things) is the mechanism by which we extract energy from things like glucose. The reaction occurs in the mitochondria, which are weird little organelles that probably were once bacteria. Fun fact about mitochondria, they're passed down from mother to child without being sullied by the father's DNA. You can use mitochondrial dna to determine where your mother's ancestry lies. Pretty kewl.
