It is time for my third annual review of my time here at .net. Tough shit if MojoPin hates these self directed threads. I've done it the last 2 years and see no reason to stop now.
In the last year I have been here I have met 3 members here. All at the new Yankee Stadium. I met Ralphbxny,Spoon and lleeder. Only lleeder(he's a lot shorter than I expected) offered to buy me a beer.
I have spoken to several other members on the phone not least of which are CHUCKWAGONCOOK and buzzard, true good guys. I now exchange text messages with several other guys here (Hottub has a very small TV). I seem to be having a long distance romance with the duely appreciated biggirl BUT I fear she shares the affection of many people here. I have exchanged gifts with a couple people here and still owe the winners in the MPW their dental prize packs. drjoek magnets shall be spread far and wide.
I have managed to be banned 2 times this year and received an infraction. No idea we even had those but I did lose my cherry on the bannings. I was banned by Mojo because WampusCrandle told him to and also by Hottub for pushing a joke too far. Eli gave me an infraction. Still not sure what it meant or was for. As per disneyspy: I lost the biggest creep bet and had an awful avatar and sig pic for a week. He also started that ".....it may be cum" pyramid that never seemed to end.
The show side of my year is quite a bit more checkered. Coming off my tie for worst poster of 08 with Matty Friday I told my self I should try to call the show this year. That got off to a rocky start when in February my first attempt at calling in got me through to Ron on my cell phone in which I gagged and was immediately dismissed. Subsequent callers that day sucked and led to a virulent rant by Ron about the horrendous nature of the. callers to the show. My resume post led to one of my Mod quotes about pissing off Ron Bennington. Undaunted I call a couple more times and spoke on the air as a semi stuttering mess. Until the day that lleeder was in studio. I called in and engaged in conversation with both hosts and Dave, told a joke that bombed got myself invited to the Christmas Party to meet Fez and also invited into the studio ala lleeder. I actually was told godbye this time and not just hung up on. I think I retire calling in on top its only downhill from there.
Sadly I have been assigned a heel role in the Fez v RonFez.net drama. A role I neither aspired to nor really wanted. Not actually sure how I did this and I fear it will not be repairable no matter what I try to do.
I actually exchanged emails with THE Ron Bennington. I think I am the only one besides him who has watched the Flamingo Kid. Fez on the other hand apparently hates me and for that I am truely. disappointed.
I have posted at a rate to put me in the top 25 in number of posts I'm sure very few of which are any good. I have enjoyed my time here and will be around for another year. I will continue to post about the important aspects of my life such as my short haircuts,my lawn,beachhouse in RI,Yankee game visits and most proudly the successes of my 2 college aged children
This thread does not beg for congrats or pats on the back. It will surely piss off MojoPin so that's a good thing.
