It has been eight years now.

Give it a rest.

We get it, you know EXACTLY where you were when you find out.

The first hour of yesterday's show was the worst thing to ever happen on September 11th.

Thankfully, it falls on a weekend the next two years, so hopefully it won't be a topic of discussion again until 2012.

No, it really is annoying listening to everyone talk about themselves in relationship to 9\11. I didnt hear the Ron & Fez show cuz my XM is fucked but on everyone other radio station it was the same shit.

Couldnt agree more.

While we are at it, can we let go of that Holocaust thing as well?

I mean, just cuz 6 million people died needlessly over 60 years ago? It was 60 years ago! Lets move on already.

I'm so bored about hearing about it.

Fkn moron.

Millions of people's lives were directly impacted by the events of that day. Some incredibly deeply. Including many members of this very board. Some only peripherally, some personally.
If people who have suffered want to come together and share their experiences, efforts or even losses bothers you that much, just change the fucking station. You are a hearltless person.
I am currently halfway through the R&F 9/11/01 show. Some wounds cannot be healed.

That is my view on the subject.
You can go screw.

I understand that. Thats my point, if you were impacted by 9\11 the day should be about you and your loved ones. No one cares if you were just sitting around, turned on the TV and there it was. So you sat shocked. I dont like how people make it about themselves.

Isn't that the whole point..to talk about how a major event affected you and your loved ones.

Why talk about anything..after all everything we talk about is how something affects us...music, movies, the show.

I just don't get why do you listen or even better post about something that makes you angry or pisses you off...but wait isn't that talking about something that affected you?

Have a good one..I'm off to drink.

is there any anger towards the terrorists who planned 9/11?

not the ones who died, the ones who are still alive and free

every article i read was about sorrow for the victims, which is understandable, and anger that the memorial is not finished, also understandable

but i didnt read anything about seeking and capturing, finally, the ones who were behind the attacks

the govt claims to have stopped more attacks that were being planned, but that just goes to show that the planners are still free to make such plans.

we are only as safe as our defense, it seems we have no offense anymore

we are more concerned with 'freeing' iraq from 'bad' iraqis rather than freeing ourselves from terrorists who have threatened and hurt our country and are free to keep threatening and planning to do it again

I agree to a cerain extent. We have captured or killed a number of the person involved in planning 9/11. Osama is still out there but a number of his deputies more responsible for the planning were taken care of. The one hairy backed mf'er (whose name I forget) was one of them.

Osama is likely the only one left out there with any real involvement, and he's probably dead.

The rest have been captured or killed or their role simply was never discovered.

Just to put my 2 cents in. I think about my cousins and my neighbor every once in a while. When I wake up on 9/11 at about 5ish, I have place to remember them. I've been to Ground Zero 4 times.I brought my mom to the 9/11 memorail in West Orange before she passed away. She was my cousin Colleens Godmother. Her mother passed away before Colleen. My aunt was 52 and left 8 kids and 13 grandkids Her husband died 2 weeks after her..I hate how much she would cry. My mother was to wesk to go to NYC. Now I go alone to West Orange alone to respect my family and neighbor. If you don't like it, fuck off.

People can talk about anything they want...

A. I doubt I'll even listen to you if you feel the need to make it all about you or your agenda.

B. I really don't give a shit about sanctimony. If you feel the need to lecture to me about 9/11 you're wasting your time.

My computer picked up a Trojan the other day. I am fairly certain it's from the 9/11 audio posted here on the site, as that's the only thing I am aware of having downloaded.

I could be wrong, but it might be a good idea to check it out.

On the main topic of this thread, my wife lost a brother in the attacks. Every year is very tough for her and her family, and I know that it would anger them even more if the country did not remember the day.

I don't think that will ever happen. It will probably fade with time - they still do a ceremony at Pearl Harbor, I'm sure, but it most likely gets only a mention on television.

I can't imagine that the country will ever completely forget.

I agree. I'm just responding to the initial thought that the nation, except for persons who lost family, etc, should let the day go.

Trojans can show up off of a webpage or an e-mail as well; it's not confined only to files you download. I'm not saying it's impossible to have gotten it from that file, but I've downloaded it and scanned it twice after your first post and there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it or anything infecting my computer.
