High School Class Songs

Listening to the OA replay got me thinking about old classic songs. When I was a senior in HS the song that was the unofficial song for my class was "Sweet Home Alabama". I have no idea why, but that was it. We were from New Jersey, go figure. Another that was an anthem of my personal clique was "Devil Goes Down To Georgia". What were the songs that made your youth?

I graduated in '02, they tried and I think successfully got Born in the U.S.A. played all the damn time. I do recall there was a lot of Garth Brooks played as well.

No Johnny Cougar though and he is at least semi local.

My senior assembly song was "you don't know how it feels" by tom petty and the av people were given an edited version with ' let's get to the point let's roll another joint removed. They played the unedited version anyway. I heard it went down in their permanent record.

according to my yearbook it was "We Takin' Over" by DJ Khaled but Ive never heard the song played. May have something to do with me spending as much time as possible avoiding most of my class senior year
