Allergies to certain foods or lactose specifically can occur any time during your life many kids that get them outgrow them again. My son was first diagnosed with milk, egg and wheat allergies via blood test, the skin test showed he was only allergic to egg yolk and he pretty much has outgrown that now too.
I feel bad for Stan, a lot of babies have these stomach issues and they are not easy to handle. Thankfully I was lucky enough to sail through the first year of my son's life without major trouble.
