I'm very excited about this. I think this is great for Jim and it will also bring more variety to the O&A show. Be it more comics in, a weak chance at better guests, a 30 second phoner from Jay.

I wish Lil' Jimmy all the best but I'm not turning on the TV for him. I'll just wait until someone isolates just his part of the show and posts it on Wackbag.

After the bit ended, a lot more positive messages came in, balancing it out, which makes me think that people who didn't like him bailed out early.

It was on a morning show. And they meant it as serious.

There were two, I think. The lower one was a sirius sticker.

My wife didn't know how he'd be "jim norton" on regular tv, but she thought he was great and still kept his edge. And she is definitely NOT an O&A fan.

I thought he did very well.

Honestly, not that great.

Good for Jimmy for getting the gig, but it was just the same Leno shtick with a better comedic voice and stuff Leno can't say to protect his middle-america appeal. But the material still wasn't that good.

1. The photos were like something out of a Conan skit.
2. Putting a stand-up comedian in a chair, smart move there.
3. The ending was better than the start, but still, Jimmy is not a 10pm network guy, he's not even a 2 am network guy. He's a 3 am HBO guy.

Don't pigeonhole Jimmy into that nonsense. He's definitely at his best in an uncensored environment, but every single joke doesn't have to revolve around eating a hooker's ass. Would you really rather see some hacky mainstream douche in that position?

that's a great point. give him a chance to get more comfortable develop a more focused persona. it was rough at times, but still the best part of the show. i think he missed a great opportunity to bust balls when they screwed up the video shot. i expected a lot more of vicious reaction, but once again let him get a rythm and more comfortable in that chair. it's got potential.

That's the point. That is a position for a douche, because I'm not going to watch a single other episode of Leno. And no self-respecting person who likes comedy will either. If Jimmy wants a paycheck, he should stay, but if he wants to do good comedy, he needs to find a different place to do it, where he can do funny shit without constraints.

If he was leaving O&A and abandoning the New York stand-up scene I'd completely agree. He's gonna do seven minutes every few weeks. Give him a break.

Good job Jim.

Yeah Jimmy should stop trying to be successful.......STUPID. Oh by the way i like comedy, im self respecting and ill watch it everytime he's on just like every other jimmy fan. WHO'D REALLY TURN DOWN A GIG ON A HIT SHOW? i know you wouldn't. As far as doing it on a platform without constrains do you mean how he did it for years with O and A on fm. He does have a place to do it with out constraints by the way he is a stand up remember so that means he will be doing clubs. GOD THINK JUST A LITTLE AND YOU WONT SOUND DUMB.

The writer who neglects punctuation, or mispunctuates, is liable to be misunderstood for the want of merely a comma, it often occurs that an axiom appears a paradox, or that a sarcasm is converted into a sermonoid.
