The singer sounds kind of like Elvis Costello and the music is in the vein of California/Beach Boysesque melodies. The production is a little on the lo-fi side which really gives it a fantastic sound.

Listen to 'Hellhole Ratrace' or 'Ghost Mouth'. If you like them, you will like the album.

Manhattan and Annie Hall are a toss up for me for his best film. But I think the opening credits during Manhattan might be the height of anything he's ever done. Enjoy.


If you like Arcade Fire and can't wait for their new album, give Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zero's a listen in the meantime. It's much more folky and not as epic, but a large group with varied instrumentation that reminds me of their sound. Certainly not in their league, but enjoyable none the less. theres an place called Indigo Smoke across from the theater. not really a waiter/waitress service place but amazing bbq and soul food that you can sit down and eat. good shit too
