seamless, confident and competent....I was very impressed with Drew Barrymore's directorial debut. Every character had great moments.....not Earth shaking but very well done and entertaining....A great sports movie and a great chick flick.

I?t's good to see the older, cooler Wilson broyher. He makes Owen and Luke look like mishappened freaks.

The Juno backlash torpedoed Diablo Cody's follow-up project so it should be interesting to see if Ellen Page can withstand it.

I think a bad actress might have torpedoed Diablo's proiject

I'll be there. Although I'll just rent it. I can't go to a chick flick in the theater. though I'm guessing it won't be all bad.

I think even at the time a lot of the opinions I saw about Juno was that Page was rescuing the movie from a self-consciously "hip" screenplay with her performance.

I think everyone is starting to come to that conclusion

Not only Ellen, but the direction in that film was brilliant. Reitman also did Thank You For Smoking, and I think that he's got the hang of the stylized comedy genre. Can't wait for his next film, I think Clooney is in it.

Yeah, the backlash against Megan Fox is probably more fierce than the one directed at DC. I think both of these ladies are victims of circumstance in this age of immediacy where any new thing gets instantly glorified as a standard bearer just so it can be torn down later on.

It looks great. They're saying it's going to result in Vera Farmiga becoming a breakout superstar:

Jennifer's Body wasn't horrible by the way. I won't be surprised if it becomes a cult hit in the vein of Heathers. There were some funny lines and Megan Fox showed that she can at least be competent. What made the film really watchable was Amanda Seyfried who has a noteworthy mixture of stunning beauty and performance talent.
