I wasnt sure which forum to put this, but decided here because it is about current events for a lot of people, including my brother (reephdweller).
I am just throwing this out there to see what "the people" think.
The government can tell who made money by their IRS report and their bank account interest statements and other income verifying sources, so its no secret to them.
If the government sought to force people who earned money over the past few years to spend a certain percentage of that money in order to stimulate the economy, so that businesses don't go under and force even more people out of work, would you support this?
This would be done for the purpose outlined above only; to attempt to save the economy.
If they looked at your info and determined that you would have to spend, say, $3000 within the next 2 months, and they would need proof and you'd get a receipt from them as a verification that you paid and possibly a deduction on your taxes as an incentive, do you think it would work? Again, would you support it?
