I do like it, and it was one of the movies my buddays and I constantly quoted when we were younger. But yes, it is a little lower in my eyes because I recognize that the dramatic stunts pulled by Cruise in the courtroom could never happen that way in real life.

But my thought that it is overrated have less to do with that than with other things as to how Cruise has a father issue again, the dialogue in parts, etc.

It still is entertaining but I wouldn't think it should win awards or anything.
