A friend and I were talking about our cats and we both wondered whether or not lions, tigers, panthers, etc... hawk up hairballs? And, if so, where would they find carpet in the wilds of the jungle since it seems that domestic cats have the uncanny ability to find whatever little bit of carpet there is to leave said hairball on.

PETRINA - Cats (even the big ones like lions) clean themselves by licking their fur. They have rough tongues w/tiny barbs on the surface. When they lick their fur, they swallow some of it and since it can't be digested they puke it up.
As for the carpet, remember lions are the kings of the jungle. They clap their paws together and the carpet is brought to them.
